Hello, I'm
Automation Engineer
Building reliable infrastructure through automation, containerization, and modern cloud practices.
I'm an automation and infrastructure engineer with over a decade in IT, focused on making systems reliable and repeatable through code. I maintain a library of Ansible roles published to Ansible Galaxy under the danmwallace namespace — covering Docker, Linux, Fedora, and Azure — structured around versioned collections designed for reuse across environments.
I've designed and maintained infrastructure across biotech, robotics, and nonprofit sectors: IAM and RBAC in Entra ID, Google Workspace, and JumpCloud; cloud migrations across Azure, AWS, and GCP; Linux and Windows server environments; and network infrastructure including Meraki, Fortinet, and MikroTik. More recently I've been deploying open-source AI tools and building MCP-connected pipelines for clients exploring AI-augmented workflows.
Outside of work, I run a homelab where I self-host 20+ services — I love taking things apart to learn how they work, and the homelab is where that curiosity lives. When I'm not at a keyboard, I'm usually rebuilding cars, running, working on my Salsa, or practicing my Spanish.
